Wow it has been some time since my last post it must be at least two months by now. Anyway I am letting you know I am still here & that I plan to keep on posting. Well it’s nearly Christmas & a new year but I thought that I couldn’t look forward to next year in till I look back at one of the biggest games of the year for 2006. Now this game is the single reason for why it has been over 2 months since my last post. & This game is none other than Gears of War there is no doubt about it I am hooked on this game. The online play is so good that I cant' stop playing. From the moment this game came out in November this is all I have been doing since then. Anyway I love this game & hopeful I will have an update for you all in the New Year but in the mean time have a merry Christmas & a happy New Year.

Ok I have some good News for those of you that live in Melbourne & Sydney sorry to everyone else who lives in SA, WA & the rest of the Country. On the 4th to the 5th of November in Melbourne GAME1 will be having the first inaugural Electronic Gaming EXPO & Tournament.  I don't need to tell you how big this is going to be. This event will be running in conjunction with the Auto Salon show. Some of the things you can Expect to find at this show will be everything from Next gen game titles to next gen consoles to game demos & the Wii will be there to play to. But the big highlight for the Electronic Gaming EXPO & Tournament is the 36 hour tournament. There will be an Xbox 360 tournament & a PC tournament. Anyway I can't wait for this event. Right now I have a Strong hunger for RPG not just RPG but star Wars RPG such as KOTOR need I say any more. As much as I would of liked to play KOTOR 1 & 2 In full HD it may be time to move on. & To look forward to Mass effect, I may not have the full powers of a Sith Lord but Mass Effect does has a few of the things that I look for in a Game one it's a RPG Two it's a Sci-Fi game so for me it's off to a good Start plus it’s made by Bioware now I know that Sith Lords was made by Obsidian but & I may be wrong about this but I do believe that Bioware did help out to make Sith Lords. Even though Bioware is busy with mass effect this should not stop Obsidian from Making KOTOR 3 which would be good as I think it should full my hunger for a sequel That Star wars can only full or could another full this hunger could maybe Mass effect do this for me. The Reason that I say this is that I am worried that KOTOR could become tired & like a Sad old man so how many Sequels is to many for Example Tony Hawk games need I say any more. So has KOTOR had it's day in the sun already & should it move over for games like Mass Effect despite this I think there is Some more life left in KOTOR at lest for one more anyway. Sith Lords for the Xbox maybe the last KOTOR but at lest we will have Mass effect which is set to be one of the must have games for the 360. No matter what happens I do hope both will come out but only when they are ready.

In my last Post I was talking about how I am no longer an Xbox LIVE virgin. Anyway I thought I would Share with you all my Impressions of Xbox LIVE & how I found it. First off I would have to say it's been a bit of a Roller coaster ride but at lest it has been mostly up for me. So overall it’s been good to be on LIVE. The highlight for me would have be the Xbox Live Arcade & I don't have to tell you all how good this is. So far I have been able try out a few of the games that are on the Arcade such as Frogger but I didn't like that game too much though. Although Games such as Wik: Fable of Souls & Doom I did enjoy playing those games. I also see that Dig dug is set to come out I can't wait to play this game. Dig Dug was one of my favorite games as a Kid. The Great thing about these games is that they are so small so you can fit a few of them on to a memory unit & take them with you. I prefer to do this instead of using the HDD because I think you could quickly fill the HDD, which I don’t want to do this. As for the Marketplace that’s pretty good too So far I have been impressed with the Trailers to Kane & Lynch: Dead Men & mass effect both of these games are looking pretty good. Now for Playing a game online & that’s why I said it's been bit of a roller coaster ride. For the most part I have mostly been battling golems in Enchanted Arms which has been good I have had some wins & some losses but that's alright the down side would of had to been PGR 3.  I am not going to go into to much detail into what happened but the race had got to the point where it had become pointless anyway it’s all good. BTW I am now mostly playing under the name of Dark Angel 667 so if you would like to send me a FR fell free to do so here. Most nights I am free to play so if you fell like battling golems or racing cars or maybe a game of pool or what eve I am up for it. Anyway C you later.

 

 

 

 

Just a Short one today to let everyone know I am finally on Xbox Live all thanks to this little D-Link Router that I Picked up today at EB Games for no more than $118. I no longer fell like the only kid in town without a Bike. Anyway see you all online very soon.

 

I have wanted to do some more blogging over the last week but as you know I just haven’t got around to doing it. I also haven’t even got around to playing games on the 360. All I can think is that I must be sick. But at late I have been a bit districted with work & with weddings & getting a new car. J But there is one thing that I think will put me back on track  & that is with the news that EB games will have $30 off the price of prey for the Xbox 360 for all VIP members only. & Because this is such a great deal for a game that looks like a must have title I am going to go down to EB games & order a copy for myself as soon as I can & so should you. As for the time that I have managed to play some Xbox 360 it has been some track time in PGR3 I am finally making some progress in this game & I am starting to see a lot of gold my favorite car at the moment would have to be the Ferrari F50 GT. I just can’t believe how good this game is.  It’s also through this great game that I got a bit of a taste of some of these arcade games that everyone is talking about & that is the Geometry Wars demo that is some what hidden with in the game if you like you can point & laugh out me for me taking so long to find this demo. I think I could easily play this demo on it’s own for many hours. In my Last post I said that I would run a competition to pick a new profile image. Well I have picked a winner & the winner is the girl with the red & black background & BM2 Love Angel. So well done BM2 Love Angel you will be listed as a Blogger of the month so from June the 6^th to July the 7th you will be listed as a Blogger of the month so well done to her & a big thank you to everyone who voted. More than that I think BM2 Love Angel is well deserving of this title for all of her great work that she puts into the Xbox community. Anyway I have to go now & try to find some time for the 360.

Some time ago I adopted an egg from Elements Graphics anyway I noticed that it recently hatched. At first I thought my creature had died because there was nothing there but I Changed the background just to make sure & when did there was in fact a Black ant.

Some of my readers may have noticed that I have changed my profile image every now & than. Well since I have to keep on changing things around all the time you will not be surprised to hear that I am thinking of changing it once more. But I don’t know which one to go with I have a few of them in mind & I was thinking that you guys could vote for the one that you think is the best. But there is more to it than that I am going to make it into a competition. So how will I pick the Winner & this is where you guys come into it all. What I want you guys to do is to Vote for the image that you think is best. Well not really but it has felt like I have been gone for month but now I finally have a New PC.

Now I had planned on waiting in till Vista comes out & buy a state of the art PC but my old one had become so slow that it takes 17 minutes just to start it up. So I decided that I would buy a cheap fill in PC. I better not say that too loud as my new PC might get a bit upset . PC’s have felling too. Anyhow it’s my Computer which means I can do what I like with it & use it for as long as like. Now I will be able to be online & Blogging more often. Anyway the PC that I brought is the NEC Versa P8100 Laptop. I thought I might give you all a run down on It’s features the P8100 has a Intel Celeron M Processor 370 1.50GHz With 512MB of DDR2 RAM & a 60 GB HDD. The P8100 also has an Nvidia Geforce Go 6200 Video Card. It also has an Integrated DVD Dual +R9 player even though it’s not the best spec’s it will do & I am very happy with it. One thing I would say about it Is that It’s well built The DVD dive is well supported so when you put a DVD in the dive you don’t fell like the tray is going to break. The only bad thing about the Computer is the touch pad that is built into the laptop it is just way to sensitive. The other thing is the battery life which is well a bit short when it’s full charged you only get about 2 hours before it goes flat. Other than this it’s an excellent computer & I am very happy with it. See Photos below.

Well am back after a few days from Been in the middle of nowhere for one of my Mates bucks weekends. Last time I made a Blog entry I said that I would give some of my gadgets a test out & see how they went. First off I think I will start off with the Uniden range of CB radios. I found the radios to be pretty good they have a pretty good sound quality so when someone spoke it was nice and clear. But they only have 30 hours of battery life so when you go to use them the next day they are dead so you will need a lot of batteries apart from this they are pretty good. Now on to the Magellan Explorist hand held GPS well I can say that it worked perfectly. For a GPS that only cost around $200-$300 AUD the Explorist 200 is just great to use & would have to be as good as any GPS that could cost as much as $900 - $1200. Even tho we were Camping in the middle of nowhere it took us right to the Camping area it even had full maps of the area there is no way you could get lost with this GPS unit. As for me no hangovers here & a great Weekend overall.

 

 

 

Well as of Tomorrow night I will be off camping about 225 km or about 140 miles north of Melbourne. Why for a buck’s night or in this case a buck’s long weekend. So this will be my last post in till Sunday. This will also give me a chance to test out some of my new gadgets & give them a real test. So I will be able to give my Magellan Explorist GPS a real test & see how it goes when it comes to Navigating in the great outdoors. I will also be able to test out my Uniden CB radios which they should have a range of 3km so I will have to test there range out. Anyway I will let you know on Sunday if I am not too tired how they went & how I did to. But in till Sunday have a good one & keep safe & I will be back & Blogging on Sunday.

I was going to call this post "you can put this one in to my sad file" But after I had heard that Nintendo had named there new console the Wii, which is pronounced we as in we are. I decided this needed to be talk about. My first reaction was WHAT THE to the news. For me the name was a bit of a shock & I think this shows that this is going to continue on with where DS left off in terms of been so unique I also have a felling that Nintendo will keep on surprising us. Regardless of the unique name I am excited about the Wii from what I have heard about the Wii it sounds like it is going to be a great console to own.  I think I might even go as far as pre-ordering one the big selling point for me or Mii would be if it works with the DS. Anyway I think this will be a pretty big console. In fact I think this console cycle might be a bit more even in terms of market share that most people would think. I think that we will see that Nintendo & Xbox will both have a much bigger slice of the pie. You can also read more about this here.

Well tomorrow is the 25th of April which makes it ANZAC Day. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. ANZAC Day is the day that marks the anniversary of the first major day that Australian & New Zealand troops went into combat during the First World War. When the war broke out in 1914 Australia had only been a Nation for 14 years. Over 8,000 Australian and New Zealand troops lost there lives between 1914 to 1915 the 25th of April trying to capture the Gallipoli peninsula. So for this reason on the 25th of April we remember the ANZACS.
